Telephone System Upgrade
Important notes:
- Once your old phone is removed you will no longer have access to your old voicemails, unless you have your voice mail currently going into to your email
- All employees will now automatically receive their voice mails in their email
- To dial an outside line, the access code is being changed from 9 to 8. This is being done for in preparation of the new Inform911 system that is being implemented
- In order to participate in the dial my name feature, you will need to record your name in dial by name directory. The system will then prompt you to set up your new voicemail greeting, if you choose to.
o These features are now active and can be reached by viewing the instructions at the telephone services website found below.
o After setting up your voicemail, it should be tested by leaving yourself a voicemail.
- All departments that currently have an auto attendant need to test their menus to insure accuracy.
- Current fax machines will no longer function as such because of the addition of a new virtual fax server. All incoming faxes will now be delivered to email addresses. If your department is still using a fax machine, please visit the link below to register the email address of your department and any optional email address of any additional recipients that should receive incoming faxes for your department. If your department does not have an email address one will need to be created by using the fax server registration form
