In collaboration with the , NJCU’s Center for Workforce and Community Development launches the OSHA with COVID-19 Addendum and Financial Literacy for Work Training.
The COVID-19 Pandemic has dramatically shifted the landscape of employment opportunity and small business development in the United States. This effect has disproportionately impacted entry-level and service related positions traditionally held by our youth, 18-23 years of age with only a high school diploma or GED. NJCU has therefore developed a three-part, ONLINE, 25-hour vocational training program to include OSHA 10 General Industry with the COVID-19 Addendum & Financial Literacy for Work.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants are to be between the ages of 18 and 23 and have a high school diploma or its equivalent by July 1, 2021. Candidates must also satisfy the technology requirements (see below) and commit to the training schedule. Each candidate must demonstrate work readiness and their ability to enter the workforce in the current COVID-19 setting.
Technology Requirements:
Successful completers are expected to be bankable and will receive the following:
• OSHA Wallet Card
• Certificates of Completion from NJCU’s Center for Workforce and Community Development and the New Jersey Center for Economic Education
• Stipend of $250 from NJCU Foundation
• Job Placement Services
