Environmental Geochemistry Research and Teaching Laboratory:
- Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS; Thermo Scientific), Ion Chromatography (IC; Thermo Scientific), Cathodo-Luminescence (CL), portable- X-Ray Fluorescence (p-XRF), bench-top X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), CHNS/O Analyser, Automatic Particle Size Analyzer (SediGraph III), Total- and Methyl-Mercury Analyzer (Tekran Instruments); High-purity DI water system, Lab Oven and Furnace (Thermo Scientific); Setting up these ground-breaking teaching and research facilities, worth ~ $1M, were possible solely by external grants including NSF, Equipment Leasing Fund-2014; Title-V (CCRAA) and more.
GIS-Computer Laboratory:
- 6 Desktop Stations, 24 Windows 7 Laptop Stations, a 11"x17" High Resolution Scanner, a 36" Color Plotter, a 36" Color Scanner, a Color Laser Printer, a SMART Technology Teacher Station. Software on the computers includes Microsoft Office for word-processing and spreadsheets, Adobe Photoshop LE, DeLorme Topoquads, ArcView GIS, Rockworks, ERDAS Imagine.
