Abigail Maldonado's Experience With NJCU and Harvard Business School Online

Abigail Maldonado with Her Harvard Certificate

"I had been out of school for 15 years and was nervous about taking this step towards earning an M.B.A. However, I was put at ease once I found the program offered the Harvard Credential of Readiness as a prerequisite. The course is fast paced, well organized, and includes the essentials necessary to thrive in an M.B.A. program. Each module within the course provides theory and the practice of the key concepts and formulas in the field. While Harvard offers this online for anyone to take, I don't think I could have passed the course without the additional support from professors at NJCU."

NJCU Graduate Student Earns Harvard Business School Online Certificate and Joins Harvard Alumni Team to Win Boston Food Bank Innovation Award

Judith Crane headshot

Judith Crane, currently enrolled in the graduate Professional Management Accounting Certificate program, recently partnered with a small group of Harvard Business School online alumni in the New York/New Jersey area to participate in a Harvard Innovation Challenge. There were more than a dozen self-selected teams of Harvard alumni around the world who agreed to accept the Innovation Challenge to be involved with a project to 鈥淓nd Hunger by 2028鈥 for the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB). The challenge was organized by Harvard Business School Online inviting local chapters from around the world to participate. Judith鈥檚 NY/NJ team presented the winning proposal as judged by Harvard faculty and representatives of the GBFB.

鈥淚t was an excellent opportunity to share my experiences and learn from others,鈥 said Judith. 鈥淒uring the process, we diligently worked together, undertaking the research required and completing the final presentation. We were selected as finalists to participate in a live presentation. GBFB said all the finalists provided outstanding ideas, but our chapter presented the most effective proposal. It was a great achievement to be with a group that truly cared about the initiative and ultimately about serving the community.鈥
