Guest Speaker: John Frankovitch

John Frankovitch earned his accounting degree from Washington and Jefferson College, and he is pursuing an MBA in Supply Chain and Maritime Logistics at the NJCU School of Business. He started his career at PriceWaterhouse Coopers, where he worked in their Tax Wealth Management Department. After that, he opened two taco franchise stores in the Pittsburgh area. Currently, he is the president of the Port of Ohio. In addition to his work.

Guest Speaker: Edward DeMartini, CEO of Quick International Courier Group

Edward DeMartini started his career as an Analyst for E-Logistics Solutions with Danzas just as the merger with AEI and the Deutsche Post was concluding to create DHL Global Forwarding. Throughout his nearly 10 years with DHL Global Forwarding, he served in a variety of functions that included overseeing various strategy projects in the Healthcare & High Tech sectors, managing a global tender team and serving as the Global Customer Manager for High Tech industry clients. In 2011 he transitioned to Kuehne + Nagel as the Vice President of Strategic Business Development & Projects, where he supported the creation and rollout of the Kuehne + Nagel PharmaChain solution. In April 2012 Edward took over as the Global Head of Bid Management, where he focused on improved visibility into future tenders and increased communication flows that all contributed to a higher win rate of global tenders. In October 2014 Edward was asked to take over as the Head of the NAM Key Account Sales group, where he spent 4 years guiding the Key Account Sales team to craft individual client development plans, improving the pipeline of opportunities, and seeing the overall sales team expand to over 60 Key Account Sales Managers and 5 Vertical Leads. In the summer of 2018 Edward transitioned to the North America Air Logistics team, where he continued his focus on overall client development while managing the North America Air Logistics Pricing teams and also overseeing the Air Logistics Vertical Solutions of Aviation, Automotive, Healthcare, and now Semicon. Edward transitioned into the CEO role for the Quick Group of Companies in July 2022 where he continues today.

Daisik Nam
Dr. Nam, Daisik is an Assistant Professor at Inha University in Incheon, South Korea, specializing in logistics and transportation. He earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, following a master's degree in Urban Planning from Seoul National University and an undergraduate degree in Transportation Engineering from the University of Seoul. After a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Transportation Studies, UC Irvine, Dr. Nam joined the Asia-Pacific School of Logistics in the College of Business at Inha University. His research focuses on diverse areas, including Parcel Delivery, Hydrogen Supply Chain, Dynamic Traffic Assignment, and Artificial Intelligence, contributing to advancements in transportation solutions.
Hanbyul Ryu
HanByul Ryu is presently a Ph.D. student at Inha University, focusing on Digital Logistics, Data Analysis in Supply Chain Management, and Network Optimization. Her recent research centres on the demand analysis of environmentally friendly vehicles and its supply chain optimization. HanByul's research interests extend to fair labour allocation in parcel delivery networks and large-scale data analysis within these domains.
Jiang Ting
Jiang Ting is a graduate student at the Graduate School of Logistics at Inha University. With a background in economics from Xihua University, Jiang's research is focused on supply chain network optimization and algorithm design, offering fresh insights into these dynamic fields.

Dr. Manuela Gutierrez-Leefmans is an Associate Professor at the Marketing Department of , M茅xico. Funded by CONACYT, she obtained her Ph.D. in Business and Management and MSc in Information Systems from the University of Manchester, UK. She worked for ten years in multinational companies in the food, shipbuilding, and pharmaceutical industries. She has held management roles in international business, supply chain, and marketing. Manuela was also involved in project management for information systems implementation, acting as E-Sourcing Manager for Latin America at the pharmaceutical company Roche. She has presented her work in diverse international conferences and published in international academic journals. Her main research interests are information systems, digital platforms, Internet strategy, business models, and innovation. She is a member of the National System of Researchers of Mexico (Level 1).
