Assistive Technology Working Group

Our mission is to collaboratively improve the quality of life of people with disabilities by increasing their access to rich and diverse experiences.

NJCU Ed Tech and  are working on a project to make electronic toys and devices more accessible.

Our current focus is on taking common electronic toys and items and adding buttons, switches, and pedals, so they can be used by people with limited motor skills.  Often an accessible version of a toy or device will be several times more expensive than the original, and many times there will not even be an accessible option.

We are also working on the use of 3D printers to make assistive and adaptive devices.
