Dear NJCU Community,
With much anticipation and excitement, this week we are launching the third significant component of our strategic planning process: the Strategic Plan for Student Development and Community Engagement.
Similar to the processes we have utilized for the Academic Master Plan (AMP) and the Strategic Enrollment Plan (SEP), we will work collaboratively as a community to complete this plan using the following steps:
The Process of Developing our Strategic Plan for Student Development and Community Engagement
Process | Date | Description of our Work |
---|---|---|
March 18–29, 2024 | The survey gives you an opportunity to determine the degree to which each of the nine goals of the plan should be prioritized. You can also provide feedback regarding each goal. | |
Asynchronous Town Hall | April 1–12, 2024 | You will have access to a Padlet page where you can add comments, ask questions, and upload resources related to each goal. |
Gallery Walk | September 9-13, 2024 | When we return for the Fall 2024 semester, you will have the opportunity to recommend and prioritize key operational actions (KOAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using chart paper and Post-it Notes. |
Plan Workshop | Friday, September 20, 2024 | 1-5 p.m. | You will be invited to work with other members of our community to develop our Strategic Plan for Student Development and Community Engagement based upon the results of the survey, asynchronous town hall, and the gallery walk. |
Please complete the survey for the Strategic Plan for Student Development and Community Engagement by to complete the first step in this process: our survey. You must log in with your NJCU.edu email account credentials to access the survey.
Please note, this survey is different from the first two surveys you were asked to complete during the AMP and SEP, as they are distinctly different processes.
If you have questions or concerns about our Strategic Plan for Student Development and Community Engagement — or our previously introduced academic master plan or soon to be unveiled strategic enrollment plan — or should you experience any issues accessing the survey, please email provost@njcu.edu or feel free to reach out to me by calling or texting 201-232-1221.
Sincerely,
Donna Adair Breault, Ph.D.
Interim Provost and Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs
