JERSEY CITY, N.J. | On May 17, the (NJCU) โDepartment of Educational Technology (EdTech) held a doctoral hooding and master's honors ceremony for its 2023 graduates. It is the eighth cohort of EdTech doctoral graduates who will earn an Ed.D. in Educational Technology Leadership.
The NJCU EdTech doctoral and masterโs programs are nationally recognized for their excellence. The program launched during the 2013-14 academic year and the doctoral program is a three-year commitment. The first graduating class was in 2016. The Class of 2023 started their program in July 2020 โ during the height of the pandemic.
The Educational Technology Department was ranked 1st in the Nation by the College Affordability Guide. The Ed.D. in Educational Technology Leadership was ranked 9th in the Nation by Top Education Degrees. The Departmentโs M.A. in Educational Technology was ranked 3rd in the Nation for Online Educational Technology Programs by the Center for Online Education.
The programโs accredited programs are at the forefront of the field, employing project-based approaches, emerging technologies, and adherence to standards. NJCUโs EdTech graduates have achieved prominence as technology leaders at the national level.
The following 10 students were hooded at the ceremony and will graduate in Cohort 8 with an Ed.D. in Educational Technology Leadership:
