JERSEY CITY, N.J. | ¿ìèÆƽâ°æ honored 16 psychology students during its 2023 Psi Chi Induction Ceremony. Psi Chi is the International College Honor Society in Psychology. The virtual ceremony was held on April 3.
NJCU’s chapter advisors are Dr. Peri Yuksel, Associate Professor of Psychology and Dr. Wei Zhang, Assistant Professor of Psychology. Amirah Kitchen and Hafsa Dawood are the current student officers of the honor society and helped organize the event.
was founded in 1929 at the University of Kansas in the United States and today is one of the largest honor societies in the United States, with more than 1,250 chapters. is to encourage excellence in scholarship and advance the science of psychology.
Psi Chi is a member of the and is an affiliate of the (APA) and the (APS). Its sister honor society is, the national honor society in psychology for community and junior colleges.
