JERSEY CITY, N.J. | (NJCU)鈥檚 Institute for Dispute Resolution (IDR) and its Connecting Bridges and Borders Program, will co-host day one of a special two-day conference entitled 鈥淓xplore NJ: Endless Possibilities for Your Business鈥 on Thursday, June 23. The event will be held at the NJCU School of Business, located at 200 Hudson Street in Jersey City, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The theme of NJCU鈥檚 opening day program is 鈥淔ocus on New Jersey鈥檚 Financial & Supply Chain Industries.鈥
The two-day conference is a result of a partnership with The Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey (), , the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (), and Rutgers Business School.
Following a networking breakfast, NJCU President Sue Henderson, Tim Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer of the NJEDA, and Wesley Mathews, President and CEO of ChooseNJ, and other special guests will offer remarks.
Professor 鈥 the founder and director of NJCU鈥檚 IDR said: 鈥淓xplore NJ is an opportunity for New Jersey to showcase its business assets 鈥 including academic programs 鈥 which support our competitive advantage in our state. NJCU offers important and necessary degrees in industries our state utilizes to attract foreign business to New Jersey, including, but not limited to supply chain and logistics, and Fintech.鈥
鈥淓xploreNJ is the outcome of a collaboration between CIANJ, ChooseNJ, Select USA under the US Department of Commerce and the Office of the Governor 鈥 together with the IDR鈥檚 well-established Connecting Bridges and Borders program.鈥
The program will include discussions on New Jersey鈥檚 Supply Chain & Logistics Industries 鈥 moderated by Erica Brieterman, the NJEDA鈥檚 Sector Lead for Transportation and Logistics 鈥 and New Jersey鈥檚 Financial Technical Services (FinTech), and will conclude with a networking lunch.

Weiss added 鈥淪ince being established in 2015, the IDR and its Connecting Bridges and Borders Program have fostered trade for New Jersey as one of its missions. The program focuses on the important contributions NJCU makes to advance globalization from the academic perspective. This has been highlighted recently with the important work our sister institute, NJCU鈥檚 Guarini Institute for International Education and Economic Mobility, has produced with international partnerships.鈥
