NJCU at Fort Monmouth Ranked No. 1 BSN Program in New Jersey

JERSEY CITY, N.J. | The Nursing program at (NJCU) continues to be a gamechanger in preparing its graduates for impactful careers in the in-demand healthcare field and the rankings reinforce that fact. In the 2021 Nursing School Almanac rankings, NJCU @ Fort Monmouth has been ranked the in the state of New Jersey.

鈥淲ith the No. 1 ranked prelicensure BSN Program in New Jersey, NJCU @ Fort Monmouth is well positioned with its new state of the art nursing education center to better serve the needs of the local health care community and those interested in studying nursing,鈥 noted Michael Edmondson, Ph.D., the Director of NJCU @ Fort Monmouth, Dean of the College of Professional Studies and Dean of Professional Education and Lifelong Learning. 鈥淐ongratulations to our department chair, Dr. Joyce Wright, and the entire faculty and staff for this notable achievement.鈥

Nursing Schools Almanac rankings badge 2021

The used by analyzed NJCU鈥檚 data from 2013 through 2020, including NJCU @Fort Monmouth鈥檚 previous location at Brookdale.

Rankings were based on the institution鈥檚 academic prestige and perceived value, the breadth and depth of nursing programs offered, and student success, particularly on the NCLEX licensure examination.

At NJCU @ Fort Monmouth, students had an exceptional 97.8 percent first-time NCLEX pass rate and its accelerated second degree BSN program gained special recognition. In addition, the NJCU main campus program was ranked #14 in New Jersey.
