NJCU Women鈥檚 Wrestling Featured on WABC-TV in New York

JERSEY CITY, N.J. | For the second time in five weeks, (NJCU)鈥檚 trailblazing women鈥檚 wrestling program has been profiled on television in New York City. On March 3, 2021, the Gothic Knights were featured on WABC-TV Eyewitness News/ABC-7 in New York as part of its Women鈥檚 History Month coverage.

The Gothic Knights 鈥 the first collegiate women鈥檚 wrestling program in the history of the state of New Jersey and the tri-state area 鈥 were featured by Crystal Cranmore, WABC-TV New York鈥檚 Race & Culture reporter. Interviewed for the story were head coach and former World Champion and two-time United States Olympian , first-year captain and former New Jersey state champion Sandra Guerrero, first-year national qualifier and , Associate Athletics Director for Student Development.

On January 28, the in New York. The Gothic Knights will send three women 鈥 Drumright, Guerrero, and first-year athlete to the in Tiffin, Ohio on March 6.
