With less than 24 hours before the first curtain call, tensions run high in the West Side Theater as 18 students and two harried faculty members work to perfect their performance.

In Fictive Kinship, a solo exhibit inspired by the death of Sandra Bland, visual artist Kimberly Mayhorn used
paintings, works on paper, installation, and a two-channel video to explore kinship or social bonding between
unrelated black women.
